The name for this pattern comes from the restored building where teach regularly - it is a beautiful old water mill and in its long history, ground corn for the local farmers for many years. The quilt design was inspired by the traditional Lone Star quilts from times gone by - including a beautiful old quilt I admired in the American Museum in Bath. This quilt is a little more challenging than some of my patterns (so not suitable for an absolute beginner) however, by following the step-by-step instructions you will enjoy the machine piecing the blocks and making four blocks using the foundation paper piecing method. All templates are included - printed full size so no photocopying or enlargement required
