Quilting Workshops

I would like to say how much I have enjoyed our Saturday quilting classes with you, this year and for the past 2 years. You have made learning a new complex skill easy and fun, have designed beautiful quilts, and worked out clear instructions to complete them.

The classes have been a great pleasure to attend, as you help foster a caring sharing community, with fun and understanding, so much more than a class to learn a skill.

Carolyn is a great tutor. I join many of her courses because the lovely environment she creates enables everyone to not only learn, but gain confidence too.

Carolyn is never judgy and always helpful in finding easier ways of achieving the more intricate techniques.

I have learnt so much from Carolyn and really enjoyed making the “Old Mill Quilt.” Carolyn makes it fun to learn and I have really gained in confidence.

I attended Carolyn’s Suffolk Sampler Course, one day a month over the course of a year and really enjoyed it. Carolyn is a great teacher. The classes are really relaxed with lots of laughter. I’ve learned, there are no mistakes that can’t be fixed and anyone can make a quilt 😊.

Carolyn is very knowledgeable and professional and has so many tips and ideas to make things more straightforward. I would highly recommend anyone taking one of her classes and have booked on another one for next year. It’s also a brilliant confidence builder so I would say - just go for it!

I love Carolyn’s classes and have attended many of her sessions as well as her longer term block of the month sampler quilt courses where I learned so much about patchwork and quilting as well as making new friends.

Carolyn’s explains everything in a way that gives you confidence to achieve the finished result. From the basics of patchwork to the more intricate designs plus techniques such as paper piecing, Carolyn’s classes are enjoyable and informative. Her quilt designs are lovely and suit every level of ability with clear and precise instructions.

Carolyn is a brilliant designer and teacher. She gives easy to follow demonstrations, excellent handouts and loads of tips and advice along the way.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the 2024 Suffolk Sampler course spread over this year and have already signed up for next year.

I joined Carolyn’s Suffolk Sample course feeling a bit nervous as I had a break from quilting as having a busy work schedule and home life just left me with no time at all to myself!  After the first session, Carolyn’s expertise, patience and passion for quilting and most importantly sense of humour made me feel at ease instantly.

 I highly recommend Carolyn’s classes whether you are an absolute beginner or a confident quilter. Once I have finished the Suffolk Sample Quilt, I will certainly be doing another course with Carolyn.

I started as a beginner in Carolyn’s class now feel confident to take on more complex quilting projects with minimal guidance. Carolyn is an excellent teacher who is able to adapt her style to the needs of her class. I have attended a number of her workshops and will continue to do so! She makes learning fun and I look forward to her classes which are extremely enjoyable and engaging.
